Successful participation in the Health and Safety Award “Johannes Bube”

Since 2000, the “Johannes Bube Preis” has been awarded every two years to Thuringian companies and institutions, that make a significant contribution for the occupational health and safety of their staff with innovative ideas and solutions which are beyond the legal requirements.

Our project dealt with the comprehensive renewal of sampling in the rolling mill train area. Here, a newly installed robot supports our employees in cutting and sorting rolled section samples.

In recognition of our commitment, Mrs Heike Werner (Thuringian Minister for Labour, Social Affairs, Health, Women and Family) awarded Stahlwerk Thüringen the “Johannes Bube Preis” on 11 July 2022 in Neudietendorf.

This prize is named after the Gotha doctor Johannes Bube (1687-1747). Bube is considered a pioneer of occupational medicine. He had engaged in the relationship of working and living conditions and the health of the workers in the Seeberg sandstone quarries.
