Panel Discussion “Sustainability an annoying issue! – What’s the point?”

As a regionally rooted company we are not only striving for a constant optimisation of our production processes, but also for a general understanding of the complexity and relevance of sustainability and decarbonisation in industry that we want to share and develop.

We align our strategic sustainability-related efforts and took part in the panel discussion, within the framework of a series of talks and actions on the topic „Sustainability an annoying issue! – What’s the point?”, organised by the Rudolstadt Theatre and the “Schillerhaus” – a museum dedicated to one of the most celebrated poets and dramatists in German history.

The garden of the “Schillerhaus” in Rudolstadt provided the place for a come together of an interested public on 6 July 2022. The discussion focus was set on the question how we can act together more sustainably in the future.

Mr Dr Rolf Wendler (third from left), authorized signatory and Manager Sales & Logistics, represented the Stahlwerk Thüringen GmbH. Further participants were: Mr David Theobald, Coordinator Municipal Development Policy of Saalfeld, Mr Erik Bachmann, Climate Network Saalfeld-Rudolstadt, Mrs Frau Juliane Corredor Jimenez, Sustainability Manager of the district Saalfeld-Rudolstadt, and Mrs Annett Wenzel, Youth Welfare Worker in Rudolstadt.

We would like to thank the Rudolstadt Theatre and the “Schillerhaus” for their invitation and for giving us, as business representatives, the opportunity to take part in this event.

We are at your disposal for questions, suggestions and to discuss any new idea.
